Course Purpose
This course is designed and developed to create awareness, skills and knowledge in fostering adequate professional management of digital records management pertaining to institutional repositories in organization. It covers fundamental concepts and knowledge based on institutional repository management intended to build required competencies in students and prepare them to be effective information management specialists.

Expected Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course the student should be able to:

ii. Describe Open Access
iii. Discuss Open Archives Initiative methods and strategies.
