Course Content

Switching logic families: Introduction to ICs, Transistor Transistor Logic (TTL), Emitter Coupled Logic (ECL), Current Injected Logic (IIL), PMOS and NMOS. Characteristics of TTL, ECL, IIL and PMOS technologies. Operation and application of memory devices: Read Only Memory (ROM), Programmable ROM (PROM), Read Access Memory (RAM), Programmable Logic Array (PLA), Electrically Erasable ROM (EEROM) and PLA base design. Analogue to digital and digital to analogue conversion: Digital measuring instruments.
